BIO

Mike Lang took a round about path to the photographic arts. He spent the majority of his adult life working on the commodities exchanges in New York, first as a broker and later as an independent trader. After a 25 year career in the markets he retired and spent the next 3 years as the un-official photographer of his youngest son’s college lacrosse team. It was during this time that Mike discovered a passion for serious photography that he didn’t realize existed within him.

Over the next few years Mike transitioned from sports photography to landscape and fine art. He studied the technical and creative side of the craft at the International Center of Photography in New York, and was taught the practical use in many location workshops run by some of the leading landscape photographers in the field today.

A life long resident of New York, Mike and his wife, Sandy, currently divide their time between Long Island, New York and Naples, Florida.
